Village of Glenview

The Village of Glenview has a strong tradition of developing computer based mapping. In 2006 the Village decided to convert its extensive CAD (computer aided-design) based data and develop a GIS program. The Village considered several approaches including in-house staffing and traditional contracting, along with the GIS Consortium model. It was determined that the GIS Consortium provided the best cost and operational efficiencies.
