Village of Morton Grove

The Village of Morton Grove had initiated a GIS in the mid 1990s that was designed primarily as a computer-aided design (CAD) tool. This capability was designed by in-house staff in the Village Engineering Department.

This CAD based system was migrated to GIS in 2003 when the Village joined the GIS Consortium. Today the Village utilizes CAD as a design tool, and GIS an information system.
